I was back on the program yesterday, but Monday, October 27, I took a day off to rest a head cold. I missed Positano and a long hike up the Path of the Gods. With an 1800 ft elevation gain, it would not have been in my skill set with the cold.
I managed my way through laundry, even coaching an Australian woman through the machines, I took two good naps, and had an excellent Wordle score.
I read a short illustrated book about Paestum. The book has overlays that reconstruct the buildings. I did the same with a book about ancient Rome, but only really read the pictures, except for the part about the Vestal Virgins. Who can resist reading about Vestal Virgins?
And then I started reading My Friends. It’s really good! I haven’t finished it, but already recommend it.
