Heading South to Te Anau

New Zealand

We left Christchurch on an early flight to Invercargill. This is the furthest south and furthest west major city in New Zealand. We weren’t in it very long. Our end goal today is Te Anau. It was a pretty long coach drive with some stops.

We visited a museum in Tutapere. Lunch from an Indian-fusion cafe was fixed for us, but the cafe was too small to hold us, so we at in the senior center!

A suspension bridge was one of our stretch breaks. This one had carried carriages and cars before it was replaced, so it was very sturdy.

We pulled into Te Anua and saw the Shadowlands film– even though we’d seen in two weeks ago, it is still amazing footage about an amazing place.
